美國總統川普（Donald Trump）昨（7）日簽署公告，宣布美國將退出66個國際組織，其中包含31個聯合國組織，以及35個非聯合國組織。國務卿盧比歐（Marco Rubio）表示，這些國際組織被川普政府視為「浪費、低效、有害」，並指出對其他國際組織的審查工作仍在進行中。
根據盧比歐的聲明，川普正式宣布，美國將退出66個審查後認定為「浪費、低效、有害」的國際組織。川普政府認為，這些機構功能重複、管理不當、缺乏必要性、浪費資金、運作不佳，甚至被與美國利益背道而馳的有心人士控制，威脅到美國主權、自由與整體繁榮。

盧比歐指出，川普總統立場明確，不願再將美國人民的血汗錢投入這些得不到任何回報機構，並表示動輒數十億納稅人資金，讓外部利益受惠而犧牲美國人民的時代已經結束。
